Cal Poly had eight athletes place in the top 30 in the women's 6-kilometer race at the Big West Conference Cross Country Championships to secure back-to-back team titles with a 39-58 victory against 2021 winner UC Davis at the Blacklake Golf Resort in Nipomo, Calif. Schuyler Gooley finished fourth in 20:34.0, Hana Catsimanes secured sixth in 20:45.8, Tatiana Cornejo achieved seventh in 20:50.5 and Sydney Sundgren placed 22nd in 21:49.7 for the Mustangs, who also had Riley Cash take 14th in 21:29.9, Isabel Sanchez grab 15th in 21:32.7 and Ellie Baxter earn 26th in 21:53.6. Cal Poly captured a ninth women's team crown in the past 25 championship meets.
