Monarch High CO assistant coaches and elite runners Laura Thweatt and Maddie Alm join DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss last week's devastating Marshall Fire that destroyed more than 1,000 homes in Superior and Louisville, Colo. The fire nearly took Monarch High as well. Thweatt, who evacuated her Superior condo during the fire, has been working with Alm to provide assistance to families who lost everything. They started a GoFundMe called Fire Relief for Monarch XC, which is one of a bunch of similar fund-raising efforts. The coaches have also been distributing donated clothing and shoes to families who were displaced.
