Nadhia Campos, a sophomore at The Vanguard School, repeated as Class 2A girls individual champion at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Campos covered the 5-kilometer layout in 18:37.1, improving on her own Class 2A record of 18:47.5 from last year. Campos contributed to Vanguard finishing seventh overall with 147 points. She became the first female athlete to capture back-to-back Class 2A state titles since Kelley Robinson of Nederland achieved the feat in 2010-11.
