The selection of the first men's AOM, July '10, was by no means and easy one, with two competitors--each of whom had 3 meets--who stood out atop the pack.

* Kenyan 800 runner David Rudisha, 21, won the Lausanne Diamond League (1:43.25), Heusden-Zolder (a year-leading and Kenyan Record 1:41.51) and the African Championships (1:42.84).

* U.S. high hurdler David Oliver, 28, went undefeated in Diamond League competition, winning in Eugene (equaling the American Record at 12.90), Paris (lowering the American Record to 12.89) and Monaco (13.01).
