Katie Rainsberger On List of Potential Runners for Washington at Sundodger Invitational

Washington's Sundodger Invitational is set to take place Saturday at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Among the listed runners for the home team is Katie Rainsberger, according to a Washington Athletics preview.

Rainsberger spent her first two years of college five hours south at Oregon. However, after Maurica and Andy Powell, formerly Oregon coaches, were hired to replace Greg Metcalf at Washington this summer, Rainsberger opted to follow them north to Seattle.

Washington will only run a small group of athletes Saturday, with plans for full squads to debut later in the month. Those runners who toe the line at Sundodger will not be racing all-out. Athletes will be given specific time goals to hit, making the event more of a fun workout than an actual race.

The other teams competing at Sundodger are Boise State, Oregon State, Seattle University and Trinity Western.
