Keeghan Edwards, a sophomore at Valor Christian High in Colorado, took third in the girls sweepstakes race by covering the 5-kilometer course in 17:32.6 at the 16th Desert Twilight Festival at Coyote Run Golf Course at Leisure World in Mesa, Ariz. Edwards, despite competing with discomfort in her right foot and ankle, helped Valor Christian take third overall with 127 points.
