Keeghan Edwards, a sophomore at Valor Christian, took third in the Class 5A girls final at the Colorado High School Activities Association state cross country championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Edwards covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:32.5 to improve from eighth place last year. Edwards helped Valor Christian edge Cherry Creek for third overall on a sixth-runner tiebreaker after both teams accumulated 133 points.
